Put Your Own Mask On First

[Dutch Lock Down Day Four Hundred Sixty Five]

Hello and thank you for flying with Leander Air.

A few announcements as we begin our post.

There is no safety card in the seat in front of you, unless you’re reading this from a flight in which case, good on you!

Please keep your seat belts fastened whenever the seat belt light is on and / or whenever you’re in a moving vehicle and / or whenever a seat belt is available to use.

We recommend your seatbelt stays fastened whenever you’re in your seat, just in case there is unexpected turbulence.

Take a moment to look around and find your closest exit.

This may be behind you.

Go on.

We’ll wait.

It’s unlikely, but if the cabin pressure changes suddenly during the talk, oxygen masks will automatically drop from the compartment above your seat.

Be sure to put your mask on before helping others and keep it on until a crew member advises you to take it off or until you feel rather silly.

Also unlikely is the possibility of a water landing.

But just in case, a pouch containing a life vest is located under your seat. You may find this hard to believe, but yes, we totally broke into your home / apartment / wherever you’re reading this from and installed a life vest under your seat just for this moment.

A water-activated locator light is attached at shoulder level.

This post is one big NO SMOKING zone.

So you can’t smoke in the restrooms or anywhere else while reading this post. Tampering with, disabling, or destroying airplane restroom smoke detectors isn’t allowed by law.

OK, as we get ready for take-off, please check that your seatbelts are fastened, seats and tray-tables are up and your electronics are off.

As the crew comes through to make a final cabin check, please let us know if you have any questions or need any help.
