[Dutch Lock Down Day Three Hundred Sixty Four]
It’s hard to believe that the Dutch Lockdown started one year ago tomorrow.
But first the news:
- Almost 46,600 coronavirus fines issued, 258 arrested for curfew riots
- Coronavirus average climbs for 11th straight day; 6,187 new infections
- EU coronavirus vaccination passport to be ready by the summer
Since I’ve been running at 100% with three interviews per day for three days now, today, with only one interview, was SUPER weird.
I picked up First Minion from school. And took him to his appointment. And folded clothes. And was a bit bored, if I’m honest.
I guess this is what unemployment is like?
I don’t like it.
Tomorrow I have three interviews scheduled, with another one possible, so I won’t start tomorrow but on days when I don’t have many interviews, I need to figure out a better engagement with plenty of work, play, and compassion.
And when I say ‘work’ I don’t mean for Equinix Metal anymore, but for my brand – filling in the holes in my knowledge and building on the infrastructure I started with the Farmer Project – studying tech and leadership and getting fit and such.
And yet, still including play – escape rooms and relaxing and reading sci fi – maintaining the self care and the joy. Even more than usual, I need to strengthen resiliency and remain consistent.
Which is why there’s compassion.
Softly, gently, yet firmly, with love and grace, moving forward and taking care of myself so that I can better take care of others.
Wish me luck.
