I’ve been fairly consistent for two whole weeks (or is it a million years? #SameThing) of walking every single day and for the past few days, I’ve even been trying to walk TO THE BEAT.
But.
I’m still wearing my regular clothes and my regular BOOTS.
Which are not made for walking.
Thus!
It comes at no surprise that my right hip is acting up. And the shin splints on my left leg. And can we just totally ignore whatever’s happening in the back right now?
But first the news:
- Coronavirus will drive Dutch budget deficit up to 12% of GDP
- Amsterdam Hospital Studying Whether Breast Milk Can Protect Against Coronavirus
- Umbrella companies during the COVID-19 crisis
The best part is that I don’t know if it’s the shoes, the lack of strength training or that I’m #GettingOlder
Or, y’know, something else entirely.
I’ve been back at work part time for two whole weeks now and while I’ll still be part time next week, I’d like to start trying to work away from the house.
Oh, except Monday is King’s Day.
Except it’s also OpenShift Commons and day one of the virtual Red Hat Summit.
Okay, so while I attempt my morning work at a random bench out in nature, I’ll also be wearing the Dutch flag and orange nail polish and dressing my children in similar said red, white, blue, and orange.
And I think we’re expected to sing the Dutch national anthem at some point as well.
So i don’t actually know what will happen on Monday except for a lot of orange and around six hours of work and observing the sustained lock down.
Or something else entirely.
One thing’s for certain, though, is that I’m going to go for a walk.
But maybe not in these boots.
