[Dutch Lock Down Day One Hundred Fifty Nine]
I missed writing / publishing yesterday because I was in bed for twenty four hours.
Still no fever, but really sick.
Slept with a thermometer next to my bed because the perimenopause hot flashes and night sweats made me think I had a fever, but whenever I took my temperature, it was normal.
But first the news:
- THOUSANDS SIGN UP TO DONATE BREAST MILK IN COVID ANTIBODIES STUDY
- FIRST WEEKLY DROP IN CORONAVIRUS INFECTIONS SINCE EARLY JULY
- ROTTERDAM TO BEGIN FINING FACE MASK VIOLATORS FROM SUNDAY
I went back to bed at eleven in the morning yesterday… and woke up at thirteen thirty, knowing I just missed a friend’s visit. (Hi, B!) I tried to rally, to call her back, to get out of bed and get going.
Instead, I fell back asleep.
And slept until seven something. Texted P for the thermometer. No fever. Back to sleep. Woke up at seven in the morning. Back to sleep.
Woke at ten.
And felt like I could totally close my eyes and fall back asleep, but this time my stomach grumbled.
That was new.
I managed to get out of bed feeling a million times better than the previous day.
But, yeah, broke the daily posting streak.
I’m okay if the cost was a healing sleep.
