Time Is Your Most Precious Currency

Universal Secret Number Two: Time Is the Real Flex

You ever notice how we treat money like it’s the ultimate resource?

Like, we’ll budget it, track it, obsess over it — but time?

We just toss that stuff around like it grows on trees. I’ve spent hours scrolling through nonsense, binge-watching shows I don’t even like that much, saying yes to things I didn’t want to do just because I didn’t want to seem rude.

And then I wonder why I feel drained and behind and vaguely annoyed at the world.

But here’s the kicker: I can always make more money.

I can pick up a side gig, sell something, cut back on eating out (theoretically). But time? Once it’s gone, it’s gone. No refunds. No do-overs.

Just a quiet little “poof” and it’s part of the past.

So now I’m trying to treat time like the currency it actually is.

Spend it like it matters.

Invest it in people who light me up, in projects that make me feel alive, in rest that actually restores me.

I’m not perfect at it — I still lose hours to rabbit holes and random distractions — but I’m getting better at asking, “Is this how I want to spend my life?”

Because that’s what it is, right?

Every minute is a little piece of your life.

And I want mine to add up to something that feels like me.
