You Will Fail and That’s the Point

Universal Secret Number Seven: Failing Forward

Because That’s Literally How It Works

Let’s say it: you’re going to fail.

I’m going to fail.

We’re all going to fail — probably more than once and perhaps in ways that are awkward, uncomfortable, and occasionally meme-worthy. And you know what?

That’s not just okay — that’s the point.

Failure isn’t the opposite of success.

It’s part of the process.

It’s the messy middle. It’s the “oops” that teaches you what not to do next time. It’s feedback. It’s data.

It’s the universe saying, “Cool, try — now tweak it.”

I had to get everything right the first time. If I messed up, it meant I wasn’t good enough or smart enough or whatever enough. But now I’m realizing that perfection is a myth.

Resilience?

That’s the real superpower. The ability to fall flat, brush yourself off, and say, “Okay, round two.” That’s where the growth is.

That’s where the story gets good.

You will fail. You’ll launch things that flop. You’ll say the wrong thing. You’ll take a risk and land on your face.

But if you’re learning?

If you’re still showing up?

You’re doing it right.
