[Dutch Lock Down Day Two Hundred Forty Three]
To get an idea of where I am these days, when I woke up in the night with pain behind my eye, before it blossomed into a full blown migraine and after inhaling 1000 mg paracetamol, I thought, “Damnit, is this another level of psychological resistance?”
I don’t think so?
But first the news:
- Decline in coronavirus cases slows as ministers prepare to ease lockdown
- Full list of all coronavirus restrictions as of Nov. 18
- The Moderna coronavirus vaccine and what it means for the Netherlands
Also, there was a press conference tonight and since the numbers have dropped, a few lockdown measures are being lifted as of tomorrow night at midnight. And as of 01 December, masks will be required in public buildings.
Also, if you’re keen for a snarky, English summary of the press conference, check out:
So, yeah, last night I woke up, didn’t know why, then felt pain behind my right eye and, confusingly, in my right collarbone, so I got up and inhaled meds and waited one hour for the medicine to kick the migraine’s ass.
In typical migraine fashion, the pain behind my eye spread out to the rest of my skull, while, ODDLY, the pain in my collarbone spread DOWN MY ARM.
“Which arm is it that feels the pain when you’re having a heart attack? Or is it a stroke?”
These are the kinds of things I thought while I focused on Not Vomiting.
I hope you’re having a better time than I am!
xoxo,
