A Few of My Favourite Things

It is important not only to do self care like eating healthy and exercise and good sleep but to have moments of joy throughout your life.

I often forget that.

Especially today.


I’m writing this to remind myself when I need to remind myself.

  • Go for a walk 
  • Learn something new like how to juggle or unicycle or roller skate or aerial work or pole dancing or photography or robotics or anything else you want to learn
  • Do yoga
  • Go swimming
  • Take a dance class or go dancing
  • Play with the cats
  • Garden
  • Watch a movie
  • Read a book
  • Visit friends
  • Go to a museum or the zoo or a forest or literally anywhere – get out of the fucking house, Rain
  • Bake chocolate chip cookies and / or bread and / or fruit pies and / or hand pies and / or scones and / or brownies
  • Pop some corn
  • Watch netflix
  • Do an escape room
  • Blog (very meta, I know)
  • Play a board game
  • Origami
  • Draw
  • Write a letter
  • Audition for a play or a dance or a reality tv show
  • Build a pillow fort and read / take a nap / cuddle the catlings
  • Take a nap
  • Listen to a podcast
  • Get a mani / pedi
  • Get a massage
  • Get a facial
  • Go to the gym and watch Netflix on the treadmill or take a class or sling some iron or do that weird rope thing or soak in the jacuzzi or suffocate in the steam room

And remember to breathe.
